What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can recognise you on the next page or the next visit. karve.qa uses one cookie to remember your choice, and analytics cookies unless you switch them off. This page lists every cookie the site can set, who sets it, how long it lasts and what it is for.
Essential cookies
karve-consent remembers your cookie choice for one year. No other essential cookies are set by the site itself.
Analytics and advertising cookies (optional)
Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*), Microsoft Clarity (_clck, _clsk) and the Meta Pixel (_fbp, _fbc) measure how the site is used and how our ads perform. They are set by default under Qatar’s data-protection law, which requires consent for marketing messages but not for site measurement. Choosing “Reject non-essential” keeps them off; choosing it later deletes them and reloads the page.
Why we ask
Analytics tell us which pages people read before reserving, where a form is abandoned, and whether the site works on the phones our members use. None of it identifies you by name.
Cookies in detail
karve-consent — first party, essential, 1 year: stores accepted or rejected.
_ga and _ga_* — Google Analytics, optional, up to 2 years: distinguishes visits and sessions.
_clck and _clsk — Microsoft Clarity, optional, up to 1 year: session replay and heat maps.
_fbp and _fbc — Meta Pixel, optional, 90 days: measures whether our Instagram and Facebook ads lead to reservations.
Changing your choice
Use “Cookie preferences” in the footer at any time. Rejecting deletes the analytics and advertising cookies and reloads the page.
